Porcelain Veneers

A gap disappears

Veneers are thin custom made facades that are attached onto the front of the tooth to improve the aesthetics. Indications for a Veneer may be a tooth slightly damaged by trauma or might be badly discoloured. It can also correct slightly skew or mal-formed teeth. Minimal removal of tooth tissue is required and therefore often more desirable than a full crown or major orthodontics.
In this specific case, correcting a diastema is quick & easy using four anterior procelain Veneers resulting in a dramatic change. Each case is considered individually and the options discussed with you, the patient, carefully to achieve the best results for you.

Teeth Whitening

Crown & bridgework

A major change can be achieved by Tooth Whitening & a combination of Porcelain Veneers, Inlays, Crowns and Bridges.
Dr David Lubbe had a special interest in the latest CEREC computer aided design technology for Veneers, Crowns, Bridges and Ceramic Restorations.
A porcelain restoration is strong and looks and feels like a natural tooth. The colour and shape can be customized to match your own teeth. It can last a lifetime if the underlying structure is sound and you follow a stringent home care oral health routine.
Regular maintenance by your Dentist is mandatory
Teeth vary in colour in different individuals. Some are yellower or darker than others, even when they are quite healthy. Teeth tend to get darker as people mature.
Teeth sometimes darken if their roots have been damaged or diseased and the nerve has 'died'. Tooth colour can be effectively and safely lightened with gel, releasing 6% Hydrogen Peroxide for example, prescribed by a dental professional.
Whitening may not solve what is bothering you.
